From Pop-Ups to Pine Ave: How Brewed Monday Coffee Found Its Island Home

Every great coffee story begins with a little spark—and for us at Brewed Monday Coffee, that spark turned into a full-fledged flame somewhere between the smell of fresh beans and the buzz of community.

What started in 2021 as a small dream in Sarasota, FL has since become a full-sip experience. Today, we’re thrilled to welcome you to our very first indoor coffee shop located right on beautiful Anna Maria Island, at 415 Pine Ave. But before we get into how amazing it feels to finally have a space of our own, let’s rewind a bit and take you through how we got here. Hope you got your cup ready! 

The Farmers Market Roots

Back in 2022, we took our beans to the people—literally—setting up shop at the Bradenton Farmers Market. With just a folding table, a canopy, and our coffee, we connected with curious locals, friendly vendors, and early Brewed Monday fans who believed in what we were doing. That weekly market became our proving ground: we tested new roasts, shared stories, learned what people loved, and kept refining every bag we offered.

To this day, we remember the excitement of someone discovering our beans for the first time—and coming back the following Saturday just to tell us it was the best cup they’d ever brewed at home.

At Brewed Monday, we are so much more than people who serve you coffee, we are dedicated. We work with agricultural engineers who handle our roasting in every country. These incredible crafters ensure that there are no contaminants, so that we in turn can ensure that we are creating the best cup of coffee. Our primary focus is to offer single-origin coffee from different countries. This is our way of maintaining consistency in each cup, and you will find this consistency everywhere we serve our product.

A Cart by the Coast

In May of 2024, we brought Brewed Monday to Anna Maria Island—not with a full café (yet!), but with a cozy little coffee cart nestled near the beach. That cart introduced us to an entirely new audience of locals, tourists, and coffee lovers who were looking for more than just caffeine—they wanted something brewed with intention and passion.

There’s something pretty awesome about starting your day with a cold brew (or hot coffee!) just steps from the iconic gulf coast beaches, or taking a slow afternoon moment with a pour-over in the island breeze. That cart reminded us why we do what we do. 

The Dream Comes to Life: 415 Pine Ave

Fast forward to March 2025, and we finally made the leap: our first brick-and-mortar location opened on Pine Avenue in the heart of Anna Maria Island. It truly is crazy to think of how we got here.

It’s a space built on everything we believe in—community, craftsmanship, sustainability, and of course, a great cup of coffee. Whether you're strolling down the avenue or just hopping off your bike after a beach ride, we’d love to have you stop in for a visit.

At Brewed Monday, we don’t just serve coffee—we live it. Every roast we carry, from the light to the bold, is made with precision. We’re committed to sustainable practices, ethically sourced beans, and a low-waste workflow that reflects our love for the planet just as much as our love for the brew.
